Municipalities helping to meet this demand by playing a crucial role in generation expansion, infrastructure planning and upgrades, and efficiency initiatives.

- The province should commit to and deliver a fully resourced plan to meet net-zero emissions by 2050.
- Energy planning and local growth planning should be coordinated to ensure that energy infrastructure is ready to support housing and economic growth.
- As the costs and risks of funding new energy infrastructure shifts, the province should ensure they are not transferred to municipalities.
