Trevor Wilcox Biography

Trevor Wilcox serves as General Manager, Corporate Performance, and currently fulfills the Chief Financial Officer function at the County of Simcoe. In this role, he provides strategic leadership for the County’s corporate support services, including Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Real Estate, Procurement, Facilities, and Legal Services. His work is grounded in a strong commitment to accountable public administration, sound financial stewardship, and the effective delivery of municipal services.


Mr. Wilcox currently serves as Past Secretary-Treasurer of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO), where he has contributed to advancing the interests of municipalities and supporting strong local governance across the province. He is a committed advocate for collaboration, intermunicipal partnership, and practical, service-focused leadership. Through his work, he has demonstrated the ability to build consensus, strengthen relationships across jurisdictions, and support initiatives that advance the effectiveness and long-term sustainability of Ontario’s municipal sector.


Since joining the County of Simcoe in 2012, Mr. Wilcox has brought extensive senior management experience from the private sector, with expertise in budgeting, analysis, and performance measurement. He is widely respected for his strategic perspective, collaborative approach, and supporting cross-municipal initiatives. He holds the designations of Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
