AMO Response to Ontario’s Poverty Reduction Strategy Consultation

AMO's Response to Ontario’s Poverty Reduction Strategy Consultation will elaborate on the recommendations and key messages that we believe are important to address when considering the mechanisms and tools to utilize in the new strategy.

Many of our recommendations coincide with the Province’s key themes providing direct support for people and the economy, protecting and creating jobs and making life more affordable for families. It will be helpful to begin with some context regarding the issue of poverty and the role that different orders of government play in the fight to reduce poverty in our local communities.
