Godwin Chan, Councillor, City of Richmond Hill

First elected in 2006, Godwin Chan is currently the longest-serving Council member in Richmond Hill. He serves as the City’s Deputy Mayor and the Chair of Economic Development Committee, and the Co-Chair of York Region Human Services Planning Board.

As well, Deputy Mayor Chan has been elected to serve as a Director of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. In addition to his professional law degree, he has earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University.
