Amanda Reid Biography

Amanda Reid is a dedicated Township Councillor for the Township of Mapleton, a passionate advocate for rural Ontario, and devoted wife and mother of two. As a resident of Alma, Amanda is deeply committed to strengthening rural communities and enhancing the quality of life for local families. She is seeking a position on the Rural Caucus Board of Directors for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) and plans to seek re-election as Municipal Councillor in 2026.

Deeply committed to community service, Amanda has volunteered extensively through local initiatives, events, charities, board of directors and the Optimist Club. Raised in Halton Hills and now raising her family in rural Ontario, she understands the unique opportunities and challenges facing rural municipalities and is dedicated to ensuring their voices are heard and represented.

Recognized for her collaborative leadership style, integrity, and thoughtful decision-making, Amanda brings energy, fiscal responsibility, and a research-driven approach to public service. She is passionate about building stronger, more connected communities and advocating for a prosperous future for Rural Ontario.

With a steadfast commitment to enhancing the quality of life for families in her community, she is running for a position on the Rural Caucus Board of Directors for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO).
