A Municipal Cyber Security Toolkit

AMO's Municipal Cyber Security Toolkit highlights key considerations, provides advice and critical information for members to consider when thinking about municipal cyber security, as well as recommendations on how AMO and LAS can assist the membership in addressing potential cyberattacks. 

It is is designed as a toolkit to help build the knowledge of council members and senior municipal staff on cyber security as well as help municipalities manage the risk of a potential attack.

Based on the ever-evolving environment of municipal cyber security, this toolkit was updated in early 2023 with support from AMO’s partner, the Municipal Information Systems Association of Ontario (MISA ON), to reflect current trends and best practices in the cyber security landscape.
