Request for Proposals for the provision of Assertive Street Outreach services
The County of Simcoe is requesting Proposals for the provision of Assertive Street Outreach services within Simcoe County.
The County of Simcoe is inviting Proposals from not for profit/charitable groups or private sector to provide Assertive Street Outreach services within Simcoe County.
Assertive Street Outreach is an effective service approach for actively engaging people experiencing unsheltered homelessness to promote, connect, and coordinate access to the range of supports available across the County of Simcoe’s Homelessness Service System, including emergency shelter and housing and support services. Assertive Street Outreach proactively engages and responds to requests in the community for individuals in public spaces, who for example may be ‘sleeping rough’ or living outdoors at that moment in time (ex. sleeping in car, encampments etc.) and is focused on ending the experience of homelessness, usually for those who would otherwise be underserved in traditional settings.
